miles, after seeing the white one in Paris I would only go white......It sort of suits that racing stance....Perhaps because all the racers start off white..

It's only when you see the 'real' race cars, the Corsas, that you realize what a massive, massive difference there is between them and the 'track-oriented' GranTurismo's.

They were the same shape, but I would struggle to find similarities beyond that.

Did I post the picture of the MC Stradale's carbon door handle? Another 600 grams saved there, good effort.

If you look Porsche's track-oriented cars, it's a proper case of WYSIWYG.

<rant>What irritates me is Maserati creating these cars at such a premium. In the 'good old days', a 4200 was a tickle under 60K and a Gransport about 8-9K more. To me they were reasonably good value for money vis-a-vis the 911. Maserati are milking a seven-year-old platform and charging ever higher prices for it, with little R&D given back to the punters in return for their dollar.

Whilst I might never buy a GT-R, I do admire Nissan for producing a state-of-the-art performance car that retails for 70K. I look at the top end Masers and I'm reminded of that John Lydon quote just before the Pistols split up - I'm sure you know the one.</rant>

Shame I missed you this w/e, long time since we caught up: I think it was a Cotswold meet a good 3 years ago - or more!

Hope the car is running good.

Hi Pat. Yep I find it hard to believe it was 3 years ago sinc I bought the car as it's still such great fun to drive.
