Maserati dealers - heaven help us

I also bought my Levante from Maranello 140+ miles away and had a great buying experience.

It's the aftersales and even sales at the closer Nottingham branch I found poor. They even tried to charge me £100+vat to deliver the Abarth/Mini courtesy car and pick up my Levante, again for minor warranty work...

I know Shiltech have ex. Nottingham MD factory trained mechanics, no reason to visit an MD for services unless you want to pay over the odds and get that stamp. Adds nothing to the value of cars in comparison to what you save with a great Indy

Not Maserati but I had a terrible experience in Guy Salmon Thames Dutton right back in 2006 and have never let them forget it.
They never took me seriously when I wanted to buy their ex demo XJ so I walked out.
Bought the car out of their showroom but via the Oxford dealership - we did the handover in Thames Ditton :p
Since then I have personally bought 5 more XJ’s from the same salesman and at least 12 other Jaguars for work, I also I toeiced him to a trade deal and they have bought a lot of cars from him as well.
Like all customer experience, it’s all about the peope.

Only dealer that does what they should is Lexus in my experience.

All the others I’ve dealt with have been shocking,
BMW - just trying to rip you off as soon as you step foot inside, trying to replace perfectly good parts (brakes). Lying to get out of warranty claim.
Alfa, pure incompetence, car usually came out worse than it went in, plus fabricating false service documents when buying off them.
Toyota, serviced wife’s MR2 roasdster and didn’t bother putting on the oil filler cap back on, oil spewed all over back of car and hood.

I avoid main dealers at all costs (apart from Lexus)
