Arfa,

I hope it does not belong to John Conner as it has been in my garage since 2001 and costing me a few pounds each year
Belongs to a guy called John Connor who lives clsoe to Leeds.
I just found the pictures by chance when seeing if the blue racing cup for sale in Europe had been sold.

Best wishes guys

Easy mistake for me to make. This is a photo by John Connor in an article by John Connor in Summer 2012 Trident magazine which is captioned "The Authors Ghibli Cup "somewhere in Italy"

Good to hear from you mate - the pictures were good and was just a fluke I came across them. Had a major leak above the garage and just found it also by fluke when I looked under the sink and found a pool of water that was ending up above the car with a rather large bulge in the roof that was going to end up on the bonnet.

Do tell me how your wheel refurb went ?

Best wishes

Malcolm

I had a blue GTV v 3.0 for many years. It was apparently the first RHD GTV in the UK having been converted by Bell & Colville. It was a great car although I nearly crashed it on the test drive as the pedals were so close together.

I remember seeing my first GTV Cup and shaking my piggy bank until I realised it really was a lot of money new !

Hope you enjoy it and thanks for the picture

T40 CUP....Seen that plate before somewhere.....

Always loved the Cup but when I was looking for a GTV V6 again a few years back I really didn't think they were worth the extra over a standard GTV of the same age........In fact I bought a standard one which some tasty aftermarket stuff and it was a better car than the standard Cup.............The Cup does look great though...

I love that intake in the wing though- it rarely fits being added to established car shapes- there's some overblown Rover/MG saloon with that kind of stuff on it and it looks "Halfords" in my opinion.

But the GTV Cup looks great with that detail...

Malcolm - what seats do you have in your Cup, as they don't appear to be the standard items?

that's not all that's not standard about that car....!

Malcolm's very lucky to have quite a unique example- but I'll let him flesh it out...
