Maserati Ghibli Cup

that's not all that's not standard about that car....!

Malcolm's very lucky to have quite a unique example- but I'll let him flesh it out...

Merry Christmas to all cup owners and potential owners.

The car did come with the rather attractive but rock hard seats and I must get the full reference from the original bill of sale for you guys.

It also came with the a pillar rev counter which makes you jump out of the seats at night and the rear brake light at the top of the rear window which I think was in the later GT cars.

All in all they are wonderful cars and a couple of months ago Andy H in Auto Italia noted they were they were the only car to compare with the Integrale across country.

Oddly enough I went to Walkers a couple of weeks before buying the car and could not strike a deal and went back to my original choice and got my hands on the cup having been looking for one for about a couple of years.

Best wishes guys and have a great 2013.

Jim,

Massive apologies I posted the pictures on a post called Ghibli Cup Clutch a couple of years ago - still there tho.

I have got hold of the original invoice.

The extras were on 5/7/99:

Active ride 936.57
Alpine sound system 591.44
Imob 251.06
Recaro seats 2,127.66
Tracker 778

No price for the gear -change light which is odd as the car was advertised new by Meridian in Auto Italia and there was no mention of it there.

Hope you are well - an odd thing last week - saw a Brera in red 2.4 and all the toys at a volvo dealer and popped to to local Alfa dealer and it was there with a volvo sales person. I tried to buy in with px for the GT but it was sold the next day. Kind of relieved in a way as appear to have got a couple of contracts needing a lot of miles over the next few months and putting them on a nearly new car would not be too wise.

Putting the money back into my Gransport kitty.....

Hope life is well with you.

Malcolm

Bruce,

I just came across the pictures on the internet when looking to find out the price of a cup car for sale abroad. As the weather is improving (correction i have been in the Lake District and Durham this weekend and its certainly not improving here) I shall take a couple of photos for the thread.

Best wishes

Malcolm
