I have just dipped my toe into the world of Italian sports cars after spending too long with clinical German machines.

Here is my spotless Gransport, courtesy of Richard Grace. Oh, the noise it makes; the feeling of every drive being a special occasion; opening the garage door and seeing the Maserati badge!

It is a purchase made more with the heart than the head, and all the better for it.

Hi Simon

That looks like my old car !

She was a dream to own and the best car in terms of reliability, residuals and feel good factor i have ever owned.

Enjoy and look after her ...... My G0d, i sound like a protective parent! I must let go !

PM me if you want have any queries.

James

Very nice Simon, you should have no problems with her, Dicky does go overboard with the prep and as you probably know, Marios has sprinkled his fairy dust on her.

Any questions, no matter how trivial they might seem, just ask...we were all virgins once!

Enjoy, and don't be a stranger.

Thanks for all your well wishes. And particularly to James, who has cared for the car in exemplary fashion. If it is any consolation to you, the Gransport is in safe hands and will be lovingly looked after.

I suspect this is the closest I will ever get to running off with another man's wife...

I know from personal experience that that is a lovely car. Great purchase Simon. All you need now is a decent exhaust on it!

Glad you're enjoying it Simon, it really is a lovely example. I've been very lucky recently to source so many lovely cars and yours is no exception; James cherished it and the previous owners had done so too.

I too have driven this very car and it is a beauty, very nice with the red piping inside.

I am also just getting used to my (new to me ) Gransport also purchased from
the very same place

See you out on the road :)

Congratulations Simon and welcome to the forum. I've travelled with James when he had this car and witnessed him up at some ungodly hour of the morning in a hotel car park cleaning those pesky rain drops off it! A much cared for and cherished example. It also has a fabulous interior. Hope to hear more of your experiences as you get used to your very own Italian beauty.
