Well that's interesting the 4.2 quicker on acceleration but then its equal.....So the extra cash for a 4.7....Is it really worth it ?

Not surprised by that. My son in law has a Granturismo Sport auto 2013 reg and from a rolling start he can't live with my QP Sport GT duoselect which has DMS map. 60 to 120 is even more embarrassing for him.....love it.

ON paper the 4.2 Duo is the quicker accelerating car....looks like on the road as well....But lets not forget Maserati with the auto tried to change the whole drive of the QP and the Auto is still regarded as the better QP by many and the press.

Interesting. Mind if you want to accelerate fast then a Maserati is not the place to be. Let's face it an M3/M4 is quite a bit quicker and cheaper.

You do have to drive the autos more differently as they are longer geared for an easier life.

Spot on BB .......WIth Maserati its not about being the fastest on the road....lets face it as you say they ain't.....but they are so much more than that.

Not surprised - from extensive and extremely enjoyable testing in Italy last year, Miles' GTS with two people in it had virtually identical performance to my QP with 3.

Mikes did mention that the 4.2's didn't seem much quicker than his GTS Drew last Saturday....Has a week gone already....AH the memories...
