Good idea, Simon. I'd watch that. I had in mind a video where I test how good other people's houses are at having teenage parties in. The basic theme is that Facebook will be used to generate a lot of interest in a party where teenagers and early 20-somethings will get snot-flying p1ssed in a variety of houses, and then compare notes afterwards and will also comment unfavourably on the quality of decorative materials and home furnishings.

Would anyone like to lend me their house?

Think we need to calm the hissy fits here.
I've loaned a car and spend the day with this company and Tiff Needell,( it goes out on the new Fifth Gear series starting next week),and assuming they don't track it,you've nothing to worry about. The budget they'll offer is pants, it will barely cover your ex'es,the lunch will be a sandwich from the supermarket ( neither which was a big deal to me),but you'll have an interesting,(albeit very long) day,and meet some decent friendly people, and they'll trreat the car with respect.
I'll try and pop a vid and some photo's up to give you an idea a bit later.

All tv reports are partial because all reporters have an agenda and that is to make good tv not to help sell or preserve the value of cars etc.
Of course they will drive it like they stole it, of course they will highlight the already known pitfalls and weak points, of which there are many in this case, and of course they will say how a once exotic can be bought for peanuts.
Big deal......................

Now just for a moment lets look at this from the other side of the fence.

OK The title is not the greatest turn on for anyone who likes their car, but given that a QP can be picked up from £14k - £100k there are some bargains out there [Yes I know they could be dogs but stay with me on this].

If the program goes out ham-fisted we would be all over it like a rash saying this and that, however with informed views this could play into the hands of the forum and values of older Maseratis. If demand for the lower end of QP increases then so do values, but as I said earlier people need to go into this with their eyes wide open.

We are all aware of how much it cost to run one of these...and it cant be done on a cheapskate budget; Disks are only available via OEM or FD up grades, early clutches are pricey if the car is not an auto and we are all aare of the wear items and the points of weakness.

I understand no one would like their car 'Ragged' round a track, and to be honest thats not the point of the QP, better the fast GT cruise to Monaco or the country pile in the sticks. I also get the point about road-rash from chasing the camera car.

Finaly I would rather see a member explaining how wonderful these cars are and how they can be afordable, rather than some ill informed dealer/presenter giving a out dated or limited view of these wonderful cars just to make a programme or shift stock they can't sell.

Nice motor. Wife had a ZT and I found it pretty good to say the driven wheels are at the wrong end, almost on a par with the 5 series of the time. It really surprised me. Shame the electrics were so bad, but if they were sorted it would have been a keeper (only lasted 6 weeks).
