Which team(s) are going to use the MC20 GT2? Since the GT2 is a "gentlemans class", I presume a works Maserati Corse team is out of the question, right?

Love it but GT2 seems a waste of time. They may have well just gone for a GT3 or 4 from the outset as while it would be great to see this on track in a one make gentleman series for the well healed they need to get back to competing with the big boys on track and win as that would be great for marketing. I suppose in a one make they will always win.

The European GT2 series (https://www.gt2europeanseries.com/) is absolutely not a one make series: Audi, KTM, Lamborghini, Mercedes, and Porsche. Brabham was also in the series in 2021 and 2022, but is seemingly not taking part this year.

Nice to see the corporate fellows promoting Maserati as it should be, rather than as an adjunct to Ferrari as was. Let's hope they will also put some thought into support of current owners rather than just promoting halo cars for benefit of the select few.

The MC20 GT2 had a fantastic debut in the European GT2 championship at Paul Ricard this weekend, setting pole in the qualifying session on Friday (https://www.gt2europeanseries.com/ne...-claim-am-lead), and getting a P2 in race 1 after leading most of the race (https://www.gt2europeanseries.com/im...sification.pdf). Also, a very credible P7 in race 2 after getting a 10 second penalty for breaching pit stop rules.
Encouraging for Le Mans...just hope it doesn't fall foul of BofP regulations...
