MCV leather seats.

Just had the front seats re-upholstered in my MCV (#117). The blue leather had shrunk, and was really hard, requiring replacement. Maybe it was mis-treated by a previous owner?

The trimmer - he did a very nice job, incidentally - remarked on the poor quality of the original leather. "Why did they use **** leather on such a nice motor car?" The leather he used to replace the original was of a much higher quality. The seats were branded 'Sparco', by the way. Any comments?

After the 3200, leather was done to a price. This isn't meant as a dig by the way.

My 03 Spyder has Poltrona Frau leather. I thought that was supposed to be top shelf.

Oh it is. It's just that there's rather less of it than you might think.....

Are all of the surfaces in the GS leather? It's lovely but hard to tell. Echo previous comments, a trimmer told me some recaros were really poor quality leather.

Rear shelf.

lower dash.
Seats.
Steering wheel (parts).
Center consol.


Door pull handles are faux leather as well i think.

Im sure somebody will correct if i have got something wrong.

The seat faces are leather as are the door pull area of the handle and the T face of the dash and the ring of the steering wheel apart from the carbon buts of course. The rest is PVC, unless you also have the leather roof lining, which is leather.

If you have a tec-cloth option it is only the bolster on the seat base and back that are real cow.

4200 is the same as a leather GS.
