You asked for it....this was pretty much day one ownership, hence why the engine bay is mint. It did come with the wrong wheels on it, but they were changed after I took these photos. I had the Enzo type alloys fitted, 5 split spoke. Performance for the £, one of the best cars you could get. Must admit, the exterior is looking dated now, but the drive, interior and engine including the bay, was an utter masterpiece!
She looks an absolute beaut Enzo , reminds me of my old 124 spyder that was a left hooker aswell ,absolute mint with no rust as it was an ex florida car i bought as part of a US customs auction lot , Kids must have loved it when you picked them up from school in it , mine did , shame you cant get Lynda to bring it to Bristol or Brooklands thats if the sun shines
Hi Loz,
She is a beut, but by no means in concourse condition...
has a few dings here and there and a bit of rust, although I have had a fair bit of work done to her over the past 8 or 9 years...
Time has come for me to do a few more things I think (like replacing the top which is non existent at present).
Would love to take her to Auto Italia, but don't think it will happen :-(
Regards,
Enzo.
Love it Enzo and Matt that GTV looks awesome.......here is my ex GT 3.2 V6. I bought it with 9,000 miles on the clock, one owner and full Alfa service history. I paid £20,000 for her and sold it 20,000 miles after putting on 4 new tyres, and giving her a £1500 service including change of cam belt. I sold her for a lousy £9,500......and wish I had kept her......boy how I loved that car
Very nice Peter, always wished I had bought one of those....maybe I still will, replace the ageing Sportwagon with it. You also got the best colour combo there, black with tan, hum, yummy!
Right, i am off on Pistonheads to see what I can get one for.
Shame you did not know me then Matt. That was one car I would have had no quarms in selling to a friend.......it was perfect in every respect. It had full service history and was low mileage and since the bulk of the mileage was done by me you can be sure the car was never thrashed. For around £9,500 I cannot think of a better car. 3.2 V6, 150 mph 0 to 60 in 6.3 (which always felt at least a second quicker than that)and a noise to die for. The GT is an uncommon site on our roads and the 3,2 V6 was even rarer
I advertised it on Piston heads and had loads of interest but nobody could see the deal through for one reason or another. They all wanted it but either had a car to sell or were finacially strapped. I never had the patience with time wasters and in the end I sold it back to Veloce. No doubt they sold it for a good profit. If I had my time over again I would have kept it for everyday use
Gutted that I don't have any pics of my Alfa's from days gone by but these are the ones I've had
N plate 155 1.8 - Black
P plate 155 2.0 T/Spark wide body version - Purple
P plate GTV 2.0T/Spark - Proteo red.
R plate GTV 3L V6 - What a great engine - Green.
Respect guys....great cars....great choices and fab pics......must get my coupe spruced up and photoed over the next few weeks.........delicious cabrio Enz525......
another couple of my favourite shots of the 155 V6, utter filth!
after a november trip to France
an 8v Widebody which was stripped BARE and went on to help over 30 different 155's in 28 countries! (Including my own) Made a packet on that car!!!
Cost £200 with no MOT, drove well but needed too much doing to render it economical to fix up. shame really, 8v W'bs are rare
