My pre-requisites are being able to to the following:
1. Fit me in. I'm 6ft 3" and 18 stone (on a good day).
2. Comfortably do 400 miles in a day without the need of a chiropractor afterwards
3. Do at least 30mpg because of the above.
4. Not be a girls car.
5. Not be a hairdressers car.
6. Reliable.
7. Not cost a fortune to fix should something fail.
8. Ideally not an Audi (can't stand them).
9. Ideally not a BMW (see above) although do like the 6 series oddly. Would have to be outstanding for me to consider though.
10. Newer than 2012.
11. Cost circa £20k
1. Yes you'd even fit in an MX-5 (with the roof down and interior stripped out including seats and carpet.
2. See above, put some memory foam down and sit on that.
3. Yep no probs in an MX5/SLK/Boxster
4. Who cares ?You wear red shoes anyway and like to be called Dorothy at weekends.
5. See 4, it's not like you have anything to prove these days, you've loosened your belt buckle a few notches and have lost all your hair so it's not an issue.
6. Most reliable roadster ever made, 1 million plus people can't be wrong. It even beats the Z3 in power and handling
7. Cheap as chips parts....
8. It's definitely not an Audi, it might share some parts with it, the Blaupunkt radio cassette in my MK2 is shared.
9. It has to be an MX5 then.
10. Yes get the new ND or even the RF. Google the RF it's like an F-type but scaled down and comes in a lovely "Dorothy Red" hue.
12. Well under £20k new, you could get a full manufacturers warranty too and even put some money towards a supercharger kit from BBR.
