As a few of you gathered I was off for a few days in Italy, stayed in Rome for a few days, a 350 miles trip up to and around Assisi, then back to Rome and down to the Amalfi coast, another 350 total trip.

Only spotted 3 Masers, 2 GTs (1 in Rome 1 outside Capua) and 1 QP in Rome, but also one 458 in Rome, a 430 which overtook me on a 50 mile an hour limited road doing 100 plus ( it scared the SH!T out of us because I never saw it coming plus it must have been equipped with larinis as when it came past it was like a thunderclap!!!!!!!!!.........oh and 1 Gallardo.

I visited the showroom for Maserati in Rome town centre then the actual main dealer/service facility near the each of the city.

See a few pics below

This was a huge facility, almost impossible to find, virtually invisible; as you can see, full to the gizzard of fab stuff.........drool on.........

Lovely pictures - I take you have been spending some time researching the places to go, before you got there.

I too was struck by how few Ferraris, Maseratis and Lambos were seen in Italy, when I was there in July. They must be selling them there - perhaps the further north you go, the more are bought (both because of the more industrialised, stronger economy and the hijack/ kidnap risk reducing)?

I'm certainly not blaming your photographic skills, P, but I have to say that yellow 458 is the first I've seen that looks a little unflattering, from the rear three quarter view.

Presumably the dealers change the huge background photos (inside the showroom) every now and then - one of those would be a welcome addition to my home (what's that, dear?), err, I mean garage. How to get hold of one....hmmm.

David
PS Keep them pics coming.

Funny how life works out Frank , i had been round the world several times , worked in the M/east, Far/east, East and West africa by the age of 31, when i retuned to the UK realised that i had never been further north in the UK than Watford gap
