Welcome to the forum WL. Mac's 3200 was a prime example that befell a bizarre accident. Well worth a look if a re-build is what you're after.

As for foibles, there's loads of information on the forum, just take a look around, or ask questions...

Welcome WL and good luck with your proposed adventure. Be sure to share your ups and downs with us and make sure you ask if you need advice; there is generally someone who will know the answer even if it's only one of the 3200ers!

Sounds like your a kindred spirit to me WWL, go for it nothing wayward about doing it that way, if your even thinking about that route you sound like you know your onions , start a new thread when you find the right car and do history before and answer on here , we would all look forward to it

Welcome.

Price up the items required before you bid and stick to your price otherwise you will waste your time and could have bought a none cat car for the same money.

Contact David Askew for used spares and also Eurospares.co.uk

Good luck in your quest and remember front enders cause massive damage to loads of parts so don't be put off by heavier side/rear damage. It looks worse but will cost less to fix.

Many thanks for the hearty greetings you guys, to give you some background not a novice at rebuilds, just rebuilt a Mercedes sl R230 55AMG, completely front ended, bought a front clip, everything from the front end out, cut back, front clip welded in, everything back in away we go. Thanks for the advise on spares Conaero, but I bought all my spares for the Merc from Greg Smith when he was in Kent, and although he is now in Ireland after hes ill health, I will be going to him for my Maserati parts.
Off to Sandy tomorrow to have a look at the 3200, so will keep you informed of the outcome
