Most amazing accidents

Just wondered what the most surprising/amazing accidents you have come across or seen ,one of my best was at the local bowls centre in Worthing, whilst walking round and explaining to my two Younguns what the game was all about i pointed to the way they bowled the jack , then followed by the opponent ball trying to get as close as possible , all of a sudden we heard this poor engine screaming and a Metro launched itself into the air through the surrounding hedge , ( poor elderly woman white knuckles hanging on for grim life ) onto the green and landed skidding as it happens closer to the jack than the opponents ball , we just stood there stunned

i have not seen this accident in person, saw it live on the telly, amazed he wasn't killed.

Never saw it Adam , but i was actually there , frightening thought that car hurtling towards you

i am not sure how it happened really, just a freak accident i suppose.

When I was a young teen I was crossing the road on the way to school. My two mates were dawdling behind me and ****** off a car driver who hooted at them...two fingers were shown by my mates and the irate driver decided to stop and give em' a mouth full. He screeched to a hault at the side of the road pointing towards the pavement.

Thing was the HGV coming up behind was way to close and going much to fast. It smashed into the car launching it across the pavement hitting me with its wing mirror and then entering the front of a terrace house...my short life flashed before me and I was lucky not to loose my legs.

Mates being mates...they legged it and left me to the wrath of the car driver who had to be pulled off by the lorry driver...and I geot a right bollocking from my dad to!

If it happened today with our litigious society , you be reeling up in agony looking to claim for getting hit by that wing mirror , well at least i would , i'd be getting headaches for life 6 figures i reckon

or Webber at Valencia last season, Webber said he only thinks he survived the Le Mans crash because the car landed on 4 wheels.

Saw that on the news at 0600 this morning...Certainly woke me up....Your pants would be full after that..

it is one of those things where you have to watch it several times just to take it in, unbelievable.

What amazes me is that he was about a second away from being too far alongside the lorry and it being almost too late to hit the anchors before he would have almost certainly had nowhere to swerve! Just goes to show you cannot take your eye off the road for a nano-second!
