Not good is it, Andy?
Definitely leaning towards a Merc or a Jag.

Not getting any time to actually look at anything though ! Not that it matters, the GT is in Oban anyway :D

C

No it's not C.....and that's the back...the front is worse.

Indeed...the old W211's are timeless inside, pretty bullet proof and wear very well. I've seen loads on starship mileages that look barely worn.

The XC90 I have has worn well for 203k miles as well. The XJ had quite soft leather which a did mark a couple of times by putting stuff on the back seats.

The new XJ Autobiography interiors with quilted face are very very nice.

As you know Andy many property's like this around France.
This is a very nice temporary one whilst we find one for when the container arrives.
Thankfully there are many around.

My vote goes for a decent Jag XJ
There is NOTHING on the road that beats the 3.0 diesel for bang for bucks ......... and in their own way quite “rare” especially outside on London.
I have driven and even “drag raced” mine and always feel like “I have arrived”.
The German “so called” competition are either waiting at the taxi rank (e class) or asleep because they are boring (Audi BMW).

I had a 275 XJ SWB 2011....loved it. The must be under 10k in places now. Lovely car to drive and own.

Think C has a budget of 5kish so that one is out of range....or did I dream that......XJ would be on my list if I change my daily drive as most of my miles are motorway so makes sense but the one thing I like about my C250 is that when I take it down the twisty stuff by me it's still fun....The XJ is a bit big for that....do love them though. They certainly cut a dash on the road.
