My cats dead

My chosen occupation has taken me around the world, such as the following places but not necessarily in order, UK, most of Africa, Yemen, Venezuela, Colombia, Belize, Vietnam, Ireland, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, and a few more I won’t mention. Thought I was a reasonably hardened chap, seen a few things happen that would make some people sick, but didn’t think I would cry when my cat was killed on Monday night, was a bit of a mess but seen worse. Had the driver stopped I would have thanked him for knocking, but the toss1r didn’t stop. Hey, it’s only a cat, but was Was my cat friend, a pain in the *** at times being a rather large but still miss him. The wife is fine by the way.

I'm sorry for your loss. I remember very well when our family cat died a long time ago. Not something I have ever wanted to go through again.

our cat died last year and my mother was quite attached to it, and still misses having it around, I'm presently working on a 'real life' human avatar character and am considering animating our departed cat into a 'real life' animal avatar from previous real life photos of it, and to also enable it to work in VR (virtual reality)

Sorry to hear your news...........They are very much part of the family as many will agree on here. We have two boys (brothers) that we decided to keep them as house cats so the same thing didn't happen to them. I think all cats have so much more personality than other pets.

I have had a few cats over the years, one in particular was always my favourite. Turned up on my doorstep one day demanding food. Felt sorry for it and it stayed with us until it died of liver failure. Had to inject it twice a day for years as it was diabetic. When the vet did an xray on her just a few days before we had her put to sleep they found several bullets in her back. Been shot at would you believe. her tail had two bad kinks in it as well, we think it had been broken and rehealed wrongly at some point. She was a needy cat but my favourite ......for that reason.
So sorry for your loss.

We had a van knock one over outside our unit Monday - didn't stop and was super obvious it had happened. So we had to deal with that and get it to a vet etc. to check for chip.Really not nice and yes I blub when we lose one.

I'm not a cat person (dogs all day for me) but I absolutely sympathize with the loss of your loved one.

Sorry for your loss :(

I was inconsolable when we had our cat euthanised a few years ago. Properly horrible experience.

I'm a double-hard Northern barsteward but when my first dog died (I was at work, got a phone call from me mam) I just couldn't stop blubbing, right there in the middle of the office.

Pets get under the skin in a way that others don't, I am dreading losing our dog especially for my son Jamie who has special needs and he and the dog have a special bond

Sorry about your loss, I can only agree with all the other comments. It does however remind me of a saying I heard many years ago that has stuck with me, dog related but no different for cats, " I wish I could be the kind of person my dog thinks I am"

I well remember a Spike Milligan sketch where he's in another room and there's this cat noise going on all mental. Anyway, Spike comes back into living room holding a bloodied cat by the tail and says 'You're right love, there isn't room to swing one....'

So sorry to hear and I’ve cried for days when I’ve lost my cats in the past. The more people I meet the more I like my cat and he’s a proper member of the family.

This is my current companion, a 7 year old ex rescue that we got at 6 months old. Makes me smile everyday. 75745
