My Dream Car

Having come into V8's via a Chrysler Jeep in 2000, I went through a few cars, including a Ford F150 Truck, Chrysler 300C with a 5.7 Hemi, a 6.2l Chevrolet Camaro and finally my dream ca,r a Maserati QP GTS in bright red with black chrome wheels. if you ever see the car on the road, you'll recognize me by the permanent grin I have on my face. Being a "kid" i cannot stop myself switching on the sports button around pedestrians or especially in a tunnel. What joy it is. My wife has a Porsche 911 cabriolet, and even she wants to drive my car on minor errands stating "it's easier to use yours as mine's parked in the garage" Yeah, this didn't happen when I had the truck.

I hope I'm joining and exclusive band of people who appreciate having an uncommon car and living life to the best you can.

Hey! You only live once!

Hey, great purchase there Fred, the 4.7 lump hey, what a blast, I too have one lurking under the bonnet of my Granturismo, and know exactly about the SPORT button and pedestrians, but was too afraid to admit it....until now.

All the best, make sure you stay in touch.

Welcome! Glad to see another 4.7 QP on the forum. I'm guessing Loz is going to come along and point out that he's in MK too...

That sure is a stunning car Fred, and no need to feel ashamed of using "that" button! I recently had cause to go to Kent with a very close friend who has been in motorsport all his life. We were laughing like 10 year olds at the sound bouncing off the walls of the Dartford tunnel! In fact, we kept accelerating and backing off just to hear it popping and banging on the overrun!!

This is the first car that I've had that I don't want to change anything. All my previous cars (V8's) needed better exhausts, but the Maserati, needs nothng. Also I know quattroporte means four doors, but as I believe I am a Petrol Head this is translated as Testa Benzina - I'm glad I'm one of those now!

Still GRINNING!

We will have to start a new section.........entitled THAT BUTTON....keep it low profile in case we all want to join.....;)

Hey Fred. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your stunning new Maserati, but congratulations most of all for having already accomplished the Maserati grin. Your joy and price in your beautiful motor car is self-evident. I'll hope to hear of your experiences as you get to grips with her. Oh and the red button is mandatory, otherwise, why have it! :D :D

Beautiful car Fred, welcome to V8 nirvana and to the Sports Maserati forum, you've come to the right place for fellow owners. I've got a video or two of my car going through tunnels so your not the only child. Sport mode is good to play with but watch it the wet or on cold tyres...

Enjoy!
