Welcome Dan. You certainly know how to make an entrance!
And no drama either. You state your intentions and just get on with it.
Not only that. But you manage to find a colour that I don't think I've seen before.
On a forum member car, that is.

I'm merely saying that the Swiss cheese that passes for my memory, can't recall another.
So, it being a little early in the day, for this old salt. I raise my mug of navy coffee to your

Mate well done, private or trade, get it over to us/Sportsitalia I’ll give it a free once over.
Hey Matt, thanks for the kind offer, I will do - but not until I sort out the new boots on Saturday, as I'd be too embarrassed if you saw them right now - yes it was private, and we have a couple of minor electrical niggles - which allowed me to knock the asking price down a bit. As you will recall, I'm only a mile away..... :) I'll email you...

Folks - thanks to all for the kind welcomes - I'm just recovering from the speed with which all this happened.

I went to see the car on Sat 18th, got the 4C very dirty on the way up to Farnborough, put a deposit down on the spot, and agreed that I'd have to sell my beloved Brera Prodrive (a hard decision, believe me) to go ahead with the deal. So I sat down on Sunday 19th and wrote an ad for eBay. It went on at 6pm. By 11pm it had sold.. and I hadn't even considered removing my plate from it - then the buyer, an impatient soul, pestered to come and pick it up the next day. I explained that my plate had to come off, then the new V5C had to come before I could transfer ownership with the correct plate etc etc... so I spent most of last week managing the expectations of both buyer and seller! The new V5C arrived on Thursday, which amazed me - so he arrived on Thurs and drove the Brera off. I then started panicking about transferring larger amounts of money without hitches - in the end that was fine, but the simple 40 mile train journey to pick it up last Saturday turned into a nightmare due to cancelled trains, in the end, I got a bus to Farnborough.... so, finally driving off, I began to relax a bit. And breathe.... ! I'm now waiting for the new V5C so I can make it J999DBP, then I can finally call it my own.

So it's a 2010 S with MC Sportline carbon pack and black/red stitch interior. Just like my Brera was, well, apart from the carbon bits, that's like the 4C.. I suppose it's like a lovechild of the two inside... now the fun starts, great to be part of the community :)

No prob as it’s a private sale there is no recourse so it is was it is. If trade you can back the car within 14 days if inspection brought up a host of issues.

So in your case the clock is not ticking.

Underseal is the best £500 you can spend, we have two 07 QP’s in at the moment having front subframes replaced.

Congratulations- what is the colour?

It doesn’t appear to be Rosso Magma, or Trionfale.

Fingers crossed your electrical niggles are easy fixes.

Blue was the other colour for me... love the Coupe, I had a yellow 16VT, red 20VT and black LE, another sad day parting with them. Never do it!
I’ll hold onto the Coupé, the last one I owned I sold in 2003, but many years later couldn’t resist buying another. Funnily enough Maserati’s have a similar appeal…….

Hi James - so, it’s Rosso Mondiale - or, quite simply, the reddest red!…
