Knocked the nail on the head there Adam....Well polished...In fact too polish....fast as feck but dull to drive.....No soul. You don't feel part of the car and its as if its doing it all for you....Never every felt that in any M3 I've driven and that includes the V8...

I will say Dem the CSL was the most fun I've had in a car...

i love the RS4, before the latest RS4 came out, all Audi's were pretty dull, but Audi seemed to have got their act together for the RS4. The M3 is probably the better all rounder, but i wasn't happy when Evo tested the RS4 and M3 about 3 years ago in Spain, they said the RS4 was more involving and was a hugely rewarding car but the M3 just had that extra edge. Both got 5 stars but i think the RS4 was the winner but they would have chose the M3. In the next issue after that, they got a bit of a slating from people in the letters section.

Remember that review Adam.....M3 still won....I must say when I drove the new RS4 thought it was bonkers fast but still left me cold...Still not a patch on the M3...
