My QP in EVO magazine

Guess this must have been written just prior to my purchase.
Nice write up but they really don't get it with the Paddle Shift thing...

Thats a nice thing to have your car in a mag, i once had my nova in a max power.....
Nothi g to do with mods just had it in as the man taking photos at a show loved it & then had it in the mag as the "cleanest car hes ever seen" award.....**** take but i loved it.....

Its very boring, its my car as it is standard woth me standing beside it in the corner of the page.....
They had an annual award thing & they picked my car as the cleanest, i never even had a stonechip on it then......

Brilliant.....read that and thought the same.....saying that none of the press understood the gear box in the early QP. The reason for that is because you don't get it until you live with the car.

Clarkson does like the QP, yesterday in the Sunday Times he tested the new Merc CLS 63 AMG, he said he would walk straight past it and buy the Maserati QP.

I do believe JC does like the QP, genuinely.
I no longer hold any store by his opinions*, especially about cars. He is by trade a journalist working in motoroing, ergo he is paid (and infamous) for the latest opinion. If he had the same tast and opinions all of the time his career woul have been 2 years, maximum.




* the penny dropped after buying "I know you've got soul" where the only car in the book was the Alfa 166. Told a few friends about the book, and was annoyed to see one year later the 166 replaced by the Ford GT (not GT40 as ford souled out to a kit car maker years ago). Guess maybe he really did love that car, but the ony soul it had was type-R.

I would not have a CLS AMG over a QP, no way.

Only AMG model which is currently in production that i like is the C63.

Went to mercedes world and had a few laps in a c63 bloody mental car.... Much prefer my GS
