Formula Dynamics performance handling components to fit QP V 2007+ 4.2 and 4.7 Skyhook models.
The package I'm selling is manufactured and sold by FD as 3 separate items:
The springs lower the car by roughly 1.8" front and 1.6" rear, as measured on my 2007 QP V Sport GT, comparing it before removal and after fitting brand new springs. The difference will be a little less if the spings you're replacing are older and have sagged a little. The Sport GT has special Eibach springs as standard, so if you're fitting the FD springs to a standard QP or Exec GT you will probably see a slightly greater lowering at the rear.
The springs are not suitable for cars with adjustable "perch" shocks. So if you have threaded shock absorber bodies, with a lower spring mount that can be adjusted up and down my turning it, these springs are not suitable for your car. They are for MY2007-onwards model year cars with a fixed lower mount and Skyhook suspension. Note that some cars sold in 2006 were MY2007. If your suspension firms up when you press the Sport button, you have Skyhook. If not, you don't.
They were fitted to my car by a previous owner in 2011 and the car only did about 8000 miles with them on. So they've not seen much use. My avatar photo shows the car with them fitted. If you were at the ACE meet in April you may have spotted the car then.
I've removed them carefully to bring the car back to standard and dry-stored them since. The springs have some very light surface rust, so I considered having them blasted and powder-coated to make them look new, but decided it would be best to allow you to see them as they are before getting them re-coated yourself.
No special tools or Maserati expertise required to fit these. Just a spring compressor and normal tools. There is a workshop manual showing the full procedures and torque settings freely downloadable if you do a search. Perfectly doable in a weekend by a competent DIY mechanic.
