Well I am surprised....if even the UK's most esteemed Maserati enthusiasts can't recommend it, theres no hope for it. Did you not think it would fit my criteria then? I know, you think the coupe one is the better bet don't you ;)

Seriously, no wind up Frank...do you reckon I'd be late for a few meeting then? ;)

Adam - I have considered a 500 Abarth - I mean, £1k down and £190 a month is the current offer for a brand new one....that's barely a tank and a half of fuel in the GT-S!! But alas I don't think thats where the sensible money is for my requirements - I run a couple of vending machines too so could do with a car that'll allow me to fill it with stock etc and our current fleet aren;t exactly cut-out for this lol!

Adam, you're the man!! Be honest now....have I spoken to you about this subject before because you're very much on my wavelength!?!?

I've been trying to find an 850R or V70R (both in the region of late '90's vintage) but they all seem to be up for silly money. I'm not flopping £2-3k down on a car thats done 150-200k miles and all the cheaper ones are f*cked one way or another. The non 'R' ones for around £1k seem to be pretty good but come on Adam....you know I NEED the R version!

what a coincidence, nope you have not spoken to me about Volvo's. I only posted it as you can cram everything B&Q sell in to the boot. 850R, make sure it is Yellow, yes you have my permission to buy the R model.
what about this one, ultimate clunge magnet.

Adam, I have six words...FOUR AND A HALF THOUSAND POUNDS

Have you lost your mind man? An 850 isn't worth half that, whatever model it is!

As the clunge attracting potential is of little importance to me these days (and if it was, the Maserati would probably suffice without the need for a big estate ;)), this more understated one would suffice and would probably also lose nothing in depreciation even if I added another 50k miles! http://pistonheads.com/sales/2775207.htm

Ah, that second one you found is more realistic price wise! Much better.

Now, what about a Saab?

Andy, 4.5k is cheap, these are sought after you know especially by people called Brian. Anyway what about this one, you think 4.5k was expensive
http://pistonheads.com/sales/2629372.htm
cant believe it is sold.

£4.5 is cheap compared to that but I'd put my years wages on that not having sold for that money (or at all). What people do is advertise the car at a high price then mark it as sold so people looking think that the 'sold' price is what they're worth (after all...it makes it look like cars are selling for those prices). They then advertise the same car for less making it look like a bargain.

Aero Turbo models apparently go like a stabbed rat.

It would of course only be an Aero model considered. They too are very cheap....like under £2k for 2000-2002 examples.

you want one of these to attach to the Volvo or Saab?

Is that another clunge magnet do you think?

Just....how old......................and SAAD are you PB

Well, you didn't mind the Volvo?? Is a Saab that much 'older'?

I've also considered this....for something totally left field and different. With that suspension I've always wondered what they're like and for a few hundred quid...well, theres very little to lose isn't there!

The Caravan is a clunge magnet, imagine that on your drive with the Maserati, Mini and a Volvo, would you fit them all on???

Andy, you need to stop looking at these cars, Citroen Xantia diesel, have you heard the noise they make?? Louder than the Maser.
