New Car Day!

Hurrah,

New car day is the best day.
Kind of.
After many months of searching and a quite a few disappointments my new 2014 GT arrived today. It's Grigio Alfieri with Bordeaux interior and I love it.
Sadly after a mammoth 6 miles and perhaps 15 minutes of driving it, a load of warnings lit up on the dash and now it has to go back to the dealers.

I'm feeling mostly happy that I now have the car, but laughably sad too that it has to go back already.

**** that must be seriously annoying. At least they are available again (or were) so you should not have to wait too much longer.

I guess there was no time for any pictures? You could hold the record for the fastest low loader thread also.

You'll be out of sadness and mourning soon.
Looking forward to the photos. Reads like a great colour combination.
Hope to see you at a meet when the better weather comes along.

I buy new, not because I have lots of money, but I'm so obsessive about any blemishes etc a used car could see me committed!! My current two cars were bought virtually four years ago - DS3, and six and a half years ago - Ghibli.
The problem for me, even buying new is the concern that my expectations will be dashed by some issue or another - as I said above, however small! So the 'new car day' almost begins to become a day of dread at being possibly disappointed, rising evermore proportionately by what the car costs.
Still it's good to see you were pleased with the car, and that you can deal with the subsequent issue so pragmatically, so when it comes back hope you continue to be even happier about your new purchase.

A new car day is always an exciting day but can be drought with disappointment buying new or used. For me it’s how the situation is dealt with that makes or breaks the whole experience. It looks like you’ve got a good dealer and in a couple of days you can hopefully put it all behind you and enjoy your new car.

Congrats. It’s probably just the battery as others have said. They don’t like sitting around doing nothing

Congratulations and sadly these things happen especially if the car was parked up and not used whilst for sale.
Did you take it for a decent road test ?
Hopefully sorted asap and Happy times ahead.

Welcome and congratulations on your purchase. Best time to go wrong as they will have to fix it as. Better than after the warranty has run out.

Welcome and congratulations on your purchase, most likely battery issues. Which reminds me to give mine a charge tonight....

Congratulations and commiserations.

Perhaps the car was protesting at you driving it at 24mph...?
