New GS Owner...

Today I (or rather, my wife) became the very, very proud owner of a beautiful '07 Mediterraneo Blue GranSport... I felt bought-in the moment I learnt of the extensive history and love this car had been showered with by its previous owners, with AV's endorsement and vouching of its condition serving as the highest affirmation I could think of for buying another Mazzer. Seeing the car in the flesh last week, the exterior bodywork is fantastic and a great combination with full leather/blue piping inside... on the test drive I was pleasantly surprised by the handling and performance... smaller displacement than my QPV (and on paper 0.2 seconds quicker to 60) but feeling significantly lighter and planted, and oodles of power on tap.

Spontaneous this was/is... we saw a 4200 a year or so back and Mrs.Makeshift remarked that the dimensions/proportions were a lot more manageable than our QPV and that she'd be inclined to drive something of that coupe-ilk at some point down the line. This particular GS came up in the forums here recently and a sale promptly ensued, and after collection earlier today it's now safely nestled on our driveway on the missus' birthday. Having one Italian on the drive is one thing, some might describe owning/running two side by side is madness... I guess I'll have to wait and see!

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Hope you and the wife both don’t leave for work at the same time early in the morning though, people in your street won’t be impressed!
Just need to order a drum kit now.
Very good!

Spare a thought for my neighbours when I used to work shifts at Gatwick Airport in my yoof... 2 days out of every 6-day shift rotation would be an early, which meant leaving the house at 04:30 to be airside by 05:00. This would be in my V6 Ford Probe beast, complete with full stainless steel exhaust (headers and all) married to a dual-exit Scorpion backbox... I'm sure they liked me even more when I ran the thing for a few minutes de-icing the thing in the winter months.

Well done, guys. Your driveway looks most excellent. You have the ideal combination of a large long distance luxury machine and a small town car that's easy to park ;)

Its almost like you knew my exact sales pitch to the missus!

Looking forward to bringing both along to SM events in the future...
