A new Code of Conduct will be released shortly which everyone will have to conform, if not, its a one week ban. This has all been put in place due to the downward nature of some on the forum spoiling it for the majority.

I'm constantly being asked to publish a Code of Conduct for an event that I manage, but I'm VERY reluctant to try to define what is good or bad conduct, or to set out a formal process for addressing bad conduct. It feels like it is too hard to do this in a brief yet comprehensive way, and is almost an invitation for 'barrack-room lawyers' to try to weasel their way out of sanctions.
So the Code of Conduct for my event is just 'be nice to other people' and 'if you are having a problem, tell the organisers and we will use our best judgement to sort it out'.
Our only 'incident' in 5 years was someone who was knitting during the event, who objected to a photograph of them knitting being put on Twitter by another participant. Hard to see how this could have been covered by a rulebook.
