Seriously mate, if you come on here looking for help you are like the rest of us. That'll be f*cked in the head especially as you have taken on the onorous responsibility of a 3200. You, my friend, are completely f*cked, so just go with it. I'm sure a fellow sufferer will be along soon to give you a shoulder to cry on. I, thankfully, have a 4200 so I can't help you. Anyone who can, you should be very wary of. ;D

Lewis, first things first, ignore Benny he is drunk and doesn't like 3200's. If you look in the buying guide there is a link to the workshop manual.

Dave, you are more correct than I gave you credit for however, I'm not so p!ssed as to buy a 3200!! Seriously though Lewis, we are all on the same side so I hope you are satisfied with your purchase and I wish you good luck and happiness in the future. If you don't achieve that, I promise I won't tell you 'I told you so'.

Welcome Lewis. You have chosen the best Maserati ever built. It does take a fair bit of looking after - it's an Italian exotic after all. On this forum you will find all the help you'll ever need on all aspects of looking after your Maserati. It will be given freely and with good grace - because we all love these cars.

Welcome - don't be put off by the remarks, it's all in the best possible taste. I do a lot of the work on my 3200 myself, brakes, cam belts, oils and filters, (water pump soon) it is not as hard as looks if you have reasonable mechanical knowledge and are careful. A warm dry garage and quality tools are also recommended.
Loads of advice on this forum.

Hi Lewis

Welcome to the Forum, and like you i got a 3200 and a workshop manual over 10 years ago now and i still have the car, and its running well at the moment. There are quite a lot of jobs a reasonably competent mechanic can do at home, so its not as bad as it might seem.

I got a printed copy off some shop on e-bay and its been brilliant. that was over 10 years ago so i am not sure they are still around but it might be worth a look. it is worth the effort there is a lot of good information in it.

feel free to post questions on here there are quite a few 3200 owners on here and a mix of people who do their own work and who use garages.

Welcome along Lewis. I acquired mine 2.5 years ago. Since then, in order of events. My hair turned grey. My hair thinned. My hair all fell out. My bank balanced was ruined and my girlfriend became convinced i was having an affair with the receptionist at the local maserati specialist..

But i loved every minute of it!

A warm welcome to you, had mine 8 years now. First couple of years were very stressful but I've sorted a lot of the major jobs now. Best upgrade were the Larini back boxes after the OEs rotted out. Have a good read on CELs and you'll quickly learn how to remedy a few issues yourself.
