New Recaro seat and loss of mirror motor usage

Just replaced my driver's seat with a lovely Recaro (passenger seat to follow once it is in stock).
While clearly, storing seat positions would be rather futile at this point, I would like to be able to adjust my mirrors using the electric controls on the console, and that is disabled at present due to the lack of connection to the ECU embedded in the old seat.
Before I go forward with a long fishing expedition for wiring diagrams and pinouts to try to hack a solution, has anyone else already done this? Tips and lessons learned would be greatly appreciated. If not, then I'll be tackling this at my own glacial pace, but will post progress and lessons learned here.
All that said, the new Recaro has added a new level of joy to spirited driving.

Nice sofas... very MCVesk. As the MCV has similar non electric seats it must be doable.

That's the first thing I would try.

That’s the plan, but first have to overcome the wiring harness, as the installers cannibalized it to regain the seat belt indication functionality… and made a mess of it

Will be trying to reconstruct it using some help received on the ML site.

Pics to follow shortly!

Do Recaro do a subframe and slider, to easily bolt to the cars original seat mounting points?

The shop I worked with here in Seattle welded their own subframe for it, so it’s unlikely that Recaro has a ready made option.

Mirror motor usage restored! Here’s the thread on ML, wherein @Navcorr provided the technical details required to reconstruct the harness properly.
End state: entire seat ECU and harness is under my Recaro, as is the memory button switch panel, to store new mirror positions as desired.

Here are a few pics of the new seat (driver side only, at present) installed.

Love the secure feel of the Recaro when cornering, and it’s quite comfortable for longer trips as well. Time to schedule a track day before the Seattle rains set in!

WTF is going on with that seat belt routing...?!

Lol. Yeahhh a little non standard.
But after trying to live with it as is, it was a no go. The Recaro is a bit wider at the shoulder, so the seat belt reach became a stretching exercise of its own. Just did this loop through, and it fits perfectly. Right at shoulder level.
