Hi all,

Newbie to here and 3200GT but ex-owner of Ghibli 2.8, QP IV and 4200GT.
All of the previous Maseratis owned are auto or F1 so really look forward
to enjoying the 6-speed manual 3200GT

Questions for all you experienced owners please.

1. Anyone has the owner's manual in electronic form so that it can be emailed to me?
(I am interested to buy one in traditional paper format in case someone has a spare one too)

2. One of the LED light in the rear right boomerang tail light is faulty so there is warning signal
in the dashboard. Could I just replace that specific light bulb or I need to replace the whole LED
set?

Many thanks again.
;)

Welcome Onlinesys, sounds like you have a great history with Maserati.

There was a thread that had links to all the 3200 documentation and manuals a while back on here, I'm sure one of the nice people with plenty of time on their hands will hunt it down for you.....

Hi Sefrane,

Thanks for the info. I thought it must be replaced with this as a whole.

Hi, if you walk into almost any of the gadget shops on the golden mile out there with that part they will be able to match the LED's up for you and replace them accordingly for a few $

Good luck

Great. Thanks for the advise. Will try it on the next service. The cars suspension was replaced with traditional coilovers.
I found the throttle is a bit jerky on 1st to 2nd gear. Will try to do a throttle reset as per recommendation from the forum.
Currently the car is on 19" 235/35 front and 275/30 rear. I found it too bumpy and would like to move back to the original
18" wheels/tyres. Any comments?

One of query. The bush on the rear and front A-arms seems cracking and not sure if I could buy them separately or use the universal one from Powerflex instead. Thanks again

Many thanks. I did check on Eurospares but seems not sure which part to order from the Front and rear suspensions pages.
Could anyone help on this please? Thanks again.

Sorry for more queries again.

1. CEL displayed twice on the last two trips but disappeared after a few minutes. Everything seems ok with no power loss,
oil level/pressure fine, coolant temperature upright in the middle and voltage normal.

2. Error displayed (checked on manual it is the suspensions) but previous owner had replaced with aftermarket coilovers and
no electronic devices attached so what exactly is this?

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

The Error light as you point out denotes a suspension error. It might be worth looking at the lateral sensor, the weight falls off but if the suspension has been replace, you might as well just remove the bulb from the cluster and dont worry about it.

The only other time I have seen the ERROR light come on is with low oil pressure but you will still get the OIL light flash if you do have one.

Thanks Conaero, let me dig out the repair manual and check out the location of the lateral sensor then.
The oil pressure seems fine and it went to 5 on throttle and stay at 3.xx-4 at idle when hot.

Check thread under "Fuse 16" regarding lateral sensor. Unless fuse 16 is regularly blowing in conjunction with error light I suspect its not the lateral sensor causing error light.

Thanks Steve. I checked on the manual that Fuse 16 controls quite a few things like light control unit, electric seat automatic return but they all seem working fine. Anyway, will check out the fuse asap.

As Matt (Canaero) indicated Error light can come on if the metal weight inside the sensor comes unglued. However, that same metal weight will almost certainly cause a short which will take out fuse 16 which in turn takes out the items you have mentioned plus rear lights etc. If, as you have indicated, that these are all working then I doubt it is the sensor weight. Given that it is very awkward to get to the sensor with headlight and indicator removal I would try and locate other sources of the problem first.
