Hi all.

I'm Mike and have been following the forum for some time.

A year ago I did something crazy and bought a Sebring Blue 4200gt (2004), manual. I was looking for an Aston Martin but I saw this car and took it for a test drive and thought this is the car for me.

Last summer we drove it down to Italy, something we do regularly but we didn't know what fun it could be until we did it in a Maserati (especially the Alpine passes).

Top man - you know it makes sense!

One question - why didn't you join us on the trip to Modena???

We went earlier in the year but liked the sound of the trip to Modena. We are hoping to drive (not in Maserati in case of snow) down to the Geneva Motor Show next week.

There's no snow in Geneva mate - I live (very near) there.

It's not going to snow at that altitude again until next Winter - Spring has arrived in Geneva...
There's no snow on the mountain roads either, for that matter.

A late start for sure, but it usually stops snowing in the valleys by now anyway.

Still, there's plenty of snow to ski on for the next month or so. It's snowing on the hills today, and will be for most of the week too, just not in the valleys. Suits me :)

Welcome,

Where in Kent are you?
Post some pics I'm sure everyone will want to see it.

Good to hear there is still plenty of snow out there, we had a fantastic couple of weeks in Flaine (last week of Jan and first of Feb) and will in Les Carroz (22/03) for a short break.

I can see Les Carroz slopes from my place - still look plenty white to me :)

Thanks for the welcome. Bet its fun driving a Maserati in New Zealand and you have the Southern Alps. I was in your neck of the woods in the early 70s and the roads were very quiet I am sure it has all changed now.

Welcome to the madness.
When I drove down to Monaco I wished I'd had time to drive the mountain roads of the Alps to Italy. But there's always another road trip to be had.

Welcome, it's good to know there are some "local" owners about in East Kent, as soon as our house move has gone through (about 3 weeks time) I can then finally sort myself out a Maser QP.
