The Maundrell car looks really nice, and silver is the one colour that actually works with the tech cloth interior. Certainly worth a look - and don't be afraid to offer them what it's worth (i.e. at least 2 k less) and be prepared to walk away. They've reduced the price of the green QP IV they have in stock by about £5k over recent months, so it's worth a haggle. Let's face it, as much as we all love Maseratis, your bid won't be competing with any body else's, so they'd have to strong to turn it down.

But also go to ADG, as they may well have a car that ticks sufficient boxes at less money. Maybe a "cheap" GS for a year or two, then a GT!

The QPIV they've had 4 months was £29996 initially, so you never know.
I agree on the tech cloth, looks good in a silver car, and dark wheels also make it look even better.

Hi Lee, a big welcome to the forum.

I'm with the tekkies.

Some of the nicest GS cabins I've seen (and I've seen a lot) have had tech cloth. Get it stained and it looks cr@p, but cared for, and in the right combination (black leather, grey tech and red piping is my current favourite), well it looks the dogs. I particularly love the stitched trident on the rear seat back.

Best of luck in your search and any questions, please don't be afraid to ask.

Regards,

Well I must say I am blown away by all the replies - this is the best forum I have joined in recent years by far!

Thanks for all your helpful comments I am glad I joined and it makes me want to buy a Maserati even more badly.

I look forward to meeting up with some of you in the future.

Regards,

Lee

Hello lawco, the blue tech cloth is not nearly as loud in the flesh!. The good news is that we've just reduced it to £20995 so feel free to come down and have a look this weekend, regards Alistair at ADG Sevenoaks

Thanks Alistair,

I will probably pay you a visit this weekend with an open mind about the blue interior. As I said before I have not actually sat in a GranSport yet let alone driven one! Are you around all weekend or just on Saturday?

Regards,

Lee

Lee, I am the site owner and also live in West Sussex - Chichester...where abouts are you?[/url]!!

Hi Conaero,

I'm in Steyning (near Worthing/Shoreham) so not far from you at all. I am down your way from time to time, usually if there is something going on at Goodwood (I am a GRRC member). Do you ever go to the Breakfast Clubs at the circuit? I went to the last one and there were several Maserati's, a fairly new and stunning Grancabrio in blue and a black 4200 as I recall and I remember a Spyder but can't recall what colour it was.

You have some interesting cars, I haven't seen an Opel GT for years! My colleague has an Alfa GT JTD, great car. I had an Alfa 159 JTDM TI Sportwagon and loved it, sadly we had an accident in it and it was written off! Currently I am driving a remapped 2011 Audi TTS which is a great car and bloody quick but lacks the character and soul of an Italian car. I also have a 20 year project car in my garage, a genuine 1972 Mk1 Escort Mexico - I bought it in 1990!

Where is the Ace Cafe in London and what time is the meet up? Not sure if I will be able to make it I have been pretty busy with work recently and have a huge backlog of documentation to get through before I go on holiday later this month.

Best regards,

Lee
