Just a heads up for all MC-Shift owners.
I have been reliably informed that part no 248095 gearbox potentiometer is no longer available and no plans to re manufacture it.
This will affect a great number of Ferrari & Maserati models.
If the part fails, your car will be off the road until a used replacement can be sourced.
Ricambi in the US were apparently the only ones sitting on some stock and I purchased a backup for myself from them. Costly for what it is but there is no alternative.
Hope this is helpful to some.

That doesn't sound good!
That's a lot of expensive cars that could be put off the road, surely someone will come up with an alternative.

Do they go wrong often? Not heard of it much if at all
AV had one fail on a GT and that’s how I found out they were not readily available. Think they had to get one over from Ricambi as no U.K. stock.
I wouldn’t want to run the risk of my car being off the road at some point (I tend to keep them) hence buying a backup myself.

So that’s a **** of a lot of cars potentially affected! Is it just the MC Shift 2010 model affected from the Maserati line up?

There’s a massive community of owners who would surely want to know their cars can be supported. Why is this part not being manufactured anymore? Perhaps its because the likelihood of failure is rare?

Would mc auto boxes also be affected eg newer gt models

It is the potentiometer for all cars with the MC shift or those Ferrari models mentioned that have the F1 box. I believe in both cases it’s a Graziano system.

No, but it can be made i've got a prototype setup potentiometer working for 3200GT ecu's.
That said this is no small job as the levers are very specific and the sweep range of a F1 pot meter is very short
Any news about the new potentiometer? Has it past the prototype stage? Seems more and more vehicles are coming of age for a replacement but part is not available. I hear the Lamborghini part is an alternative but its 3x more expensive...
