Will be up for this. Moving to that neck of the woods in June. New location Ingleton so short hop into the lakes.
Will be doing the westside of NC500 as soon as we move too. Perhaps while the roof is being replaced.
Went there as a schoolboy on a week long RYA sailboat course. Made some firm friends. Took the family there 40 years later. Still a great place, but no sailing this time.Check this place out. Storrs Hall.
We used to visit this place for a spot of lunch when we had our lovely QP. ( those were the days)
Stunning spot right on Lake Windermere. (road out of Windermere heading towards Newby Bridge)
So, where are we at with this? I might be up for a run out in the Jaaag if dates align.
It's still fun... at 5:30amI remember most of these places, but now well over 30 years ago.
The time when you could rip up the lake at great speed, and I was mostly on one ski. Happy Days. Then the fun was taken away. Boo.
The Warden still in bed? It's still fun... at 5:30am
Cheers Stu - Hope it all goes well today. Not long since finished getting everything ready for inside opening from later today.
I will post the suggested dates up later today. I just need to check a couple of things first.
Hi Benny
I was hoping you would pop up on this thread. Have not seen you for a while so i was going to whattsapp you once the dates are fixed.
I will post up some suggested dates later tonight when ive finished work. Hopefully we can fix a date that works for most people next week sometime and then fine tune routes / food stops.
Right folks. A few suggested dates as follows for you
The idea being we will spend the day in the lakes on the sunday and have lunch at a suitable venue. Leave the lakes late afternoon for the ribble valley.....
