I think that that is a fair point. I was trying to get the debate going as to how much a GS is worth over a 4200. At the moment the differential is high. The question is, will it remain so?
The GS is better in lots of ways over the 4200......plus it shows up a few weaknesses on its "successor" car the GT.....as long as lowish miles and great condition see no reason why differential won't remain much the same
Low miles is the most important factor for a 4200 or GS, with year less important but still significant.
IIRC, there was recently a 4200 spyder for sale for around 32K with very low mileage?
It's not just the fact the miles are low, it's also that these cars physically tend to be in nearly-new condition. This is the principal reason I made my recent purchase - only 7K on the clock and the car looks not far off new.
