Hopefully Nigelo might answer this , but i think the SD3 is additional to SD2 , in the respect it deals with the F1 gearbox , clutch issues /parameters/

SD2 deals with the engine management/sensors/suspension some codes are of the generic kind , and on year 2000 and later models 3200's can be read by obd2 readers
