Some really interesting comments guys, thanks. I have a feeling I have an intermittent issue with the TCU by the sounds of it. I've done two or three drives recently, one absolutely fine, no gremlins whatsoever, the other two the CC/gearbox light came on at the same time it switches to auto(i cannot switch out or change gear) did this 20-30 times, some times for just a few seconds others for a few minutes. Not linked to any type of driving or manoeuvre...completely random, and as I said one of the drive in between the two was gremlin free. If i stop when this is happening and try to get reverse, it won't let me.

There is a key gen with the software on the disc. You could use that or pay depending on your conscience...

I had a Bluetooth one but it doesn't work with my iPhone, so I went for the wifi version. If you want to use iPhone go for wifi, if android go for Bluetooth.

Yes, no and no in that order.

Just to be clear, you can't see parameters with what I have. I suspect you can reset faults in the same way as the AA did, that's all. But as I don't have a fault we would need to investigate more.
