OBD will not connect with car -Fuse?

Hi
I went over a very rough patch of road, pot holes loose tarmac etc
The engine warning light came on straight away.
Got home and plugged in my OBD to check what had registered but
was unable to establish a connection.
The thing plugs in ok and begins to boot up, it gets 1/2 way (according to the little bar on the scanner) then comes up with unable to establish a connection.
Tried the scanner on my other car and it works fine.
So is it a fuse? if so which one? where is it located? and what is the amperage?
Or am I on the wrong track altogether?
Any suggestions welcome,
Oh yes 2007 QP(V)
thanks

The OBD works fine in my other car, it used to work in the QP
All I get now is a linking error on the OBD
I checked the cigarette lighter fuse, which I think is on the same supply and it is ok - well it powers up a small compressor when plugged in.
Any offers?

Well Bit the Bullet and took it to my friendly Indy.
They checked the error code and saw it was a Cat problem.
Reset it, added some catclean to the fuel and all is well.
They tried my diagnostic and found it did not work on any of the cars in the garage at that time - including mine
So can any one recommend a replacement for the Autel Maxiscan MS309 reader?
When I bought it I was singing its praises but it has only just lasted a year About £17.00 from Amazon I think

Good to hear that's it's sorted. I have a cheap Chinese scan tool, a Kennwei KW808 which I bought from ebay and it works pretty well. It reads codes & resets them, although having a 3200, it's barely been used ;-)

I have used Autel for a long time and good kit.
For 17 pounds it can't be genuine and a lot of people selling fake items.
Be careful plugging spurious items into your beloved.
