See I like the style of the new Alfas but they just don't have the same passion since the 3.2 GT...........The last proper alfa engine.......

Agree the current 159/Brera/Spider range doesn't sound as good as the Arese V6.

With an Autodelta ECU remap/ Air filter though they're not bad, to my ears anyway.


Not in the league of a Maser V8 for aural sound mind you but not much on the market really is these days.

Looks wise IMO, they're right up there.

Brera no longer part of the range Cavalier....Alfa has seen sense and do not produce any more....Shame as one of the prettiest cars you can buy and one of their biggest mistakes.

what is it with these italians?? alfas now are prettier but not good engines and the old ones were not as pretty but good loud soulful engines then you have maserati giving us 3200 with the most beautiful rear then gives us a better car in 4200/GS with cavalier lights?? whats up with them

Legislation has a small part to play , computers play a much bigger part Andy , if Manufactures feed all the same required factors into a computer , surely it must come out with the same or very similar answer everytime, hence why we went and are going through a transitional time in the motor industry where a great preportion of cars come off the end of the production line all looking the blooody same and or use similar engines , long gone now is individuality and uniqueness,


30 years ago , you could look at a particular model of car and instantly recognse who the manufacturer was , bugggered if you can do that now with 95% of cars , only the Italians seem to have kept any flair or imagination in design , unfortunately the mass conglomerate corperations have all but bought out the competition and are now giving us a boring mundaneness compilation of the same parts reconfigured time and time again ,

Someones rattled Victors cage today
