Saw this was purchased by a member on another forum for his QP.

http://hklock.en.alibaba.com/produc...shell_for_Maserati_remote_shell_3_button.html

He just transplanted the key stem and electronics from his worn case to the new one! Significant savings over ordering from dealer!

Says it looks exactly like stock. I cannot vouch for this as haven't tried but posting in case anyone has a desire to refresh their key case. This should be fine for the QP and GT.

How about a group buy?

Wonder if it has the badge on the other side? I tried to get mine apart to fix it, key spring broken but couldn't get it apart so wonder how it's done?

I'm in - for two. And I'll just have to pretend I didn't look at the picture of the O Level school children making them in their sience class.

But seriously, if there's a group buy, count me in.

Me too, my originals were chipped, not sure how. Made me wonder if the original owner went jogging with the keys in a bag of loose change.

Here's the procedure for getting the case apart!

http://www.klangford.com/Klangford/My_Mods/Pages/Key_Disassembly.html

EDIT: Word of caution on the procedure here: i think the temperature indicated for heating up is in Fahrenheit as it's a US based contributor. We would need to translate to Celsius in the UK, so around 120 Celsius!

Looks like a good product and very well priced. Obviously not bothered about the copyright in China. I know it's not crime of the century but just curious as to if it's the sort of product that customs would seize due to it being counterfeit.

Interestingly I wonder if it *is* counterfeit. They appear to have no Maserati logo, and they not being sold as Maserati parts. Clearly infringing copyright, if the design is copyright, but that's a bit different.

COuld be passing off, I guess.

Without wanting to stitch myself up I deal with the Chinese daily so understand how these guys 'tick' so if you want me to sound them out just let me know. The theory being they make these and send them over to Italy for the cars. Guess he's just trying to make a second income stream as these guys often do. I certainly need 2 mine are completely shot .
I've sent them a message with regards to ordering 10-20 units.

I'd be in for a pair - one for replacing and one for when I c*ck it up first time of trying!

Don't let them fob you off for too long!

Sorry couldn't resist the pun, as poor as it was. ;)

Please could I be added to the provisional list? One fob broken, second sure to smash sooner or later ...
