Place down from the Blues ground, the scrappy that paid for a crane with cash in carrier bags, was a bit like that, only much bigger. One of the staff was missing a hand. Usually had one of the pincer type things, but had a hook too which kids loved.

One of our local scrap yards still piles the cars on top of each other where as the others have them all safely racked.
Used to love scrambling over the cars hunting for spares back in the late 70’s early 80’s

Is that the one in Landor Street...? Not so long back there was a RR Silver Shadow perched on top of one of the containers, completely burnt out but someone had fitted brand new chrome bumpers!
