Had to walk the Spa circuit yesterday, which was an eye opener. Been here a few times but never walked all the way around. Amazing place, and would love to do a track day here at some point. View attachment 89647
A familiar sight! I always walked a lap on Saturday and Sunday morning to offset the breakfast waffles and lunch frites & mayo! Must have been 15 times but stopped thanks to the overcrowding caused by the orange army. Also badly missed the wonderful screaming V10s through the forests now we have gone to the dull sound of hybrids. Would rush back if they reintroduced V12s!

For some reason I've been daydreaming about old Astons this past week or so, in particular this one which loomed rather large in my childhood, I'm sure most of you recognise it without its fake number plate.... ;)

Ken Miles (1918 - 1966)
He engineered the installation of a Porsche 550S engine and transmission in a 1956 Cooper chassis and body. It was the second successful race car to be known on the West Coast as "the Pooper", the first being an early 1950s Cooper chassis and body powered by a Porsche 356 power train that was built and campaigned by Pete Lovely of Tacoma, Washington. The resulting car dominated the F Modified class of SCCA on the west coast in the 1957 and 1958 seasons with Miles driving.
Due to his great skill and talent, both as a driver and mechanical engineer, Miles was a key member of the Shelby/Cobra race team in the early 1960s.89796

Totally agree loved a good paper manual oily finger prints and all.
Was gutted when Auto Data went digital after subscribing to the manuals for years.
