They weren't that bad.. you just spent the whole of Sunday fixing them to get to work on Monday morning.. Happy days!

Totally agree wish I could remember how many I have had.
Fantastic little cars with a great following and probably the best parts availability for any car.
Having driven the whole of New Zealand in one in 2017 not putting a spanner on it I love them.
My Renault 4 is the same and I'm sure the Panda will be too.

What is parts availability like for your R4?

My first Mk1 Mini 'Mackie', a '67 850 bought as a daily runner in the '90s after spotting it parked up near Rugby School, I left a note on the windscreen saying I'd like to buy it and a few days later I got a phone call, I added the Cooper grille and Minilites....

I sold it three years later to buy my first Cooper, a '69 Mk2 998 which I kept for eleven years, the colour combo is El Paso Beige with a Snowberry White roof....

96095

Straddling ownership of the Cooper was this unrestored Mk1 1275 Cooper S which I had for two years, another one I should have kept, it was built in November '65 and registered in February '66....

96097

My ultimate Mini would be a Stewart & Arden Radford Minisprint, S&A only did about fifty or so Sprints in '66 and '67 and just a handful had the Radford treatment....

Did you slip the lids off manholes to get all of those low shots of the minis?

Today we are celebrating a very special anniversary: 50 years since the memorable night of Col de Turini.

Resisting rain, wind and snow, in 1972 the Lancia Fulvia Coupé 1.6 HF n°14 won the Rallye de Monte-Carlo, driven by the exceptional team of Munari/Mannucci. The competition didn’t stand a chance thanks to its excellent weight to power ratio and greater maneuverability from the front-wheel drive, which ensured an exceptional road holding on snow, uphill and especially downhill, all at service of masterful “Drago", Sandro Munari.

The star of this epic undertaking, which still bears the signs of that unforgettable night on the bodywork, is jealously guarded at our Heritage Hub, in the “the Rally Era” area. It’s a real head turner! 96151
