As some of you are aware, after Le Mans I headed south and went across the Pyrenees and into Spain. It was an awesome trip, and in some respects, all the better for completing it on my own in a 16 year old car without issue.

A few of you are lucky enough to be friends with me on Facebook, but for those that aren't but are interested in seeing some pics of the trip I thought I'd post some up!

Anyone up for doing the same kind of thing after Le Man next year, I'm currently considering heading through the Pyrenees and exploring the Portuguese coast...

Thanks for the positive feedback :)

It really was an awesome trip. It's rare that I come back from holiday with little more than a "It was alright" to the question of how was your holiday.

The chap you can see in one of the pics taking a picture of my car was the owner of an apartment I stayed in one night. He was such a lovely chap; he gave me a tour of the local villages and introduced me to some of his friends in the village and then invited me to dine with him and his family. They then spoiled me with the local cuisine and wouldn't let me pay for it! All whilst communicating in a mix of English, Spanish, Latin and arm waving. Great experience. And I got to drive some amazing roads into the bargain.

Whole-heartedly recommend doing a similar solo journey if you get the chance.
