I remember my Fiat X19 when I was 17 cost £750 to insurance...back then it was a alot.

End of dream 1st set of wheels then! All about how risky you are.......it takes 10 yrs plus having done 100K miles before the insurance people reckon your truly worth the punt as a customer....and NOBODY knows more about risk and life generally than insurers and actuaries!!!

Been paying abou £500 every year since I was 17, only deprciation and growth in CC has made the price OK...My XR3i Birthday present at 18 was a wopping £4k in 1987...only held the car for 4 months and thought sod that...saved the rest and it paid 1/4 of my first house 15k

It was a cabriolet, and I too have been looking at a MK1 RS Turbo. Went to see one with just 20k on the clocks and like new...still it was £14k!

Like many old 80's car its hard to get some trim parts etc
