Only slightly tongue in cheek folks, honest. There is a serious point insofar as £52k is a **** of a lot of money for a car like that, and even with a lottery win I wouldn't look at one. If your pleasure is track work you can do better, and likewise for road use.

Its a hard one Phil as I too wouldn't have it for the money .... but one thing to remember is that it is meant to be the best driver cars you can buy as voted by many mags ... yes there are better looking, yes there are fatser but does that make then a better drive ... for me no ... but I to would struggle to pay 50k on a Cayman when a 911 is in that brachet 2nd hand and a number of Maserati, Ferrari. But there are some who want that best driving experience and it would seem the Cayman is pretty much top of the list .... Me I think I would prefer a used GS and a Lotus Exige.

i agree what you say about having a GS and Exige for the price of a cayman, as good as it maybe, i would never pay 50k for one, you can get a decent R8 4.2 for about 60k now

But then now you can get a good one for 20k then its a different matter .... Once driven never forgotten .... Its more involving than a 911 which says something .. Myself I find the styling a little awkward from some angles ... The R does look good though.

Great looking car Adam .. which is what I fell for ... wouldn't have another ... Think I would go 3200 AC with a few grand saved for running costs...Or even that QP with 75k on the clock thats up for 19950 ... God that would be hard not to resist.
