Hi everybody,

My clutch read out was 72% wear and so I am gearing up for a new one in the coming year. What is the going rate and any recommendations? What is the greatest wear that anybody has seen on the readout? before needing to change?

Thanks

Hows about 110%!

The SD readout is only a guide....you could have 10K left on it or 500 miles

Well, depending on what other stuff you have replaced, I'd budget for at least £1500. Someone will be along shortly to give you a complete breakdown.

Slightly off topic, sorry, but I cannot really see the point of the clutch read outs. Surely just drive it until it needs changed. They seem to vary so wildly.

Yeah...only I live remote from an Indie, I would have let mine run still the first symptom appeared anyways, but got it changed around 75% mark, it had done 30k miles.....you'll change out everything anyways as 2/3 costs is labour!!!

25,000 so far, changed last Febuary. Good for some more with TLC. As far as 'remoteness' goes, Boston is my next Parish!

You should be expecting around £1500, £3K is someone wanting bags of profit..!! Marios at Autoshield are very good, I take my cars there and have never had an issue..!!
There is a list of independents on here, Independent Maserati Specialists, just put that in to the search box and it will bring up the list of those around the country..!!

£1500 plus you need to get the clutch position sensor at £800 and then the gearbox should be fine for many more moons.
