Hi all, not been on here for a long old while but I still have my QP which has continued to enthral and infuriate in equal measure. So far this year it's needed new brakes (thank god for the new pattern discs eurospares are doing), a new PAS radiator (cheap part (£130) but needs the whole front end off to fit!) and a new AC compressor (expensive part but doddle to fit).

Anyway, I just got it back from a service and to be honest I hadn't seen it for two months as I'd taken it up when swapping another car and not got round to getting it. It's running very sweetly except the A/C doesn't now work. I don't think I can hear the compressor kicking in but then I'm not sure that I ever could. All relevant fuses etc checked and they're fine, switch on the dash seems to work etc. I even had one of the little gauges to check the pressure and that is telling me that its too high on the low side.

So, with those symptoms does anyone have any idea? With the high pressure it certainly doesn't sound like it's all leaked out after being emptied and refilled when the compressor was changed so not just something not done up properly.

Also, after the service my chap hasn't reset the service indicator. He's not a Maserati specialist (Lotus is his thing) but he can do anything so I have no issues there. Last year he popped it round to the local dealer to have the indicator reset as they owed him a favour. This year he forgot to do that and I didn't notice it hadn't been done until I got home.

The service indicator I can obviously live with but the A/C is a royal pita!

My aircon packed up recently (co incidentally also after a new PAS radiator) Fixed by "Italian reset" Disconnecting battery - then reconnecting- Apparantly it recalibrates- Fixed mine so worth a try!

There is normally a secret way of resetting service indicators on most cars. A combination of ignition and dash buttons. Although I'm sure Maserati have made a good job of hiding the fact.
