Thanks for posting this. Looks like my QP could be one of those affected so I contacted the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) who co-ordinate all UK recalls (www.vosa.gov.uk/) and received this reply today:

"Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that we are aware of this issue in the United States and we are at present discussing the issue with Maserati in Italy to confirm if there are any affected product in the UK. The recall in the US does not commence until September 2011. Once we have this confirmation, if affected product is within the UK, then a safety recall will be actioned by Maserati.

regards

Alison Martin
Automotive Safety Recalls Manager
Vehicle Safety Branch"

I'll post any further news I hear.

Quattroporte S, registered Nov 2008 (hence my interest in the recall), acquired three weeks ago with 11K miles/one owner. Verde Deep Emerald with Sabbia interior, plus various extras (Executive GT pack, sunroof, paddles etc). I'm happy with it so far!

Been told by Maserati GB that the recall details for UK have been finalised and notification letters to those affected should be going out next week. Maserati GB seem to be willing to check details of your car if you give them a call (thankfully mine isn't one of them...) I have asked them if they are willing to release the chassis number ranges concerned and if so I'll post them.

Depends on which Paul you mean? I was put through to Paul Green in Customer Service; and have since had no further response. Since discovered a three-year old thread on Maserati Forum which suggests I should have spoken with Paul Hyatt (http://www.*********************/Who_do_you_complain_too_at_Maserati_GB?/m_21559/tm.htm) Is that who you meant? However the e mail address given there (phyatt@maserati.co.uk) bounces. Anyone confirm this person is still the right one to speak to? And got an e mail address that actually works? Maserati GB seems to hide their contact information extremely effectively….

Paul Green should be the man to speak to. Paul Hyatt does still work there, all the e-mail adresses are now .com rather than .co.uk.

However, if you want to PM me your chassis number i can check and confirm if your Quattroporte needs the recall campaign carrying out.

We have also just received a small number of kits from the factory to help get the campaign completed as soon as possible.

Cheers.

Alan.

Thanks for the information and the offer. I already know that mine isn't one of the ones affected - I was just trying to be helpful for others by posting the relevant chassis numbers on this site. Maybe not necessary if folk can contact Maserati or you.
