Thank you for fast reply! So every engine after 148697 will not whatsoever have a problem with rattle then? :) That means cars from late 09 and onwards? Just try to do my research before buying one. I do care more about these issues, service history and maintenance than rims, colour and so on. So these topics are of great interest for me!
Just make sure you do a good read up on the Sport GTS - if you can find one of those they are more than worth it, also in terms of keeping value. The sport button on the Sport GTS also adds a lot of magic to the car sound (or should I say music)

I do have a G-class and an Integrale, so i think the QPV will fit right in the middle :) Guess my standard to the conditon and history makes the GTS out my league for now. Maybe aim for an 11 or 12 S. But i have started to think the black is boring.. But as i said, if i find the right condition and history that`s the main part for me!

I came across this official Maserati doc which details the various additions/changes to the QP & GT Model years from 2009 to 2012 which I thought might be of interest to some here

Have you got the same technical info but up to, say, 2014 range? Just want to make sure before i commit to buy a 2014 Granturismo engine, that i will not need to buy a gearbox too. It is Auto for Auto, but wonder if it is 6 speed ZF and not 7 or something...

Unfortunately not, but I think they used the same ZF 6 speed (ZF 6HP26) throughout

Have a common faults article with the ZF6HP26 from gears, but too large to upload 28Mbyte . Any way of getting uploaded?
