Hi everybody,

I read a recent post about using an Italian Maserati garage to do the work. I would appreciate any advice or recommendations on who to use.

Thanks

That was me. I used the local main dealer in Umbria. Can't recall the name now, so will check in the paperwork. But if you are planning a trip to Italy anyway, simply look up the official dealer list to find the one nearest your intended location and request a quote.

Incidentally, tHe first owner of my Shamal was an Italian living in London, and he always drove it back to Italy for servicing.

I had my 156 serviced by the supplying dealer in Belgium - he charged me EUR €50 for it, a similar service by Desira would have been several hundred quid. It made the ferry costs and tankful of petrol worth it - while combined with a visit to friends nearby.

Another time I had a major service and timing belt change on my 166 done at a main dealers in France. It cost far less than an indie in the UK, never mind a main dealer. Again I combined it with a family visit.

I've always fancied taking the QP to Italy - this seems like a good reason :)

Thank you for the comments and seems like a great way of escaping the UK in the QP.
