QPV water in passenger footwell

Hi all,

I have seen threads on this in the past but it seems to be mainly 3200/4200 which suffers from this issue. I can’t find anything to suggest where the drain holes are under the scuttle with the QP? Do I need to remove the wiper arms etc in order to free the entire scuttled panel?

I’m pretty certain that the water isn’t from leaking AC as I haven’t seen any evidence of water dripping, plus the car lives outside and is still wet after a period of little use. Hopeful it’s just a cheap fix.

Thanks in advance.

If you have a sunroof, it would be well worth you checking the 4 drainpipes from there. Fairly common for these to block, and then for water to drip in. Mine used to end up with a damp passengers carpet.

Good luck hunting this down, whatever it turns out to be.

Yes I had persistent water in passenger footwell and it was all caused by sunroof drains. I didn't see how the garage fixed it but they seemed to think it was simple...

Not sure on Mas but I know others have a closed hose with just a slit or similar. I cut them off the X5 yrs ago so they were free flowing and let all the muck out too. Always on the maintenance list every 6 months. Watering can on roof and check you get 4 pools of water underneath.

I bought a 3m long 3mm thick drain un-blocker. Cleared years of gunk out, been working perfectly since.

That’s great chaps, I do have a sunroof so I’ll look into this! Thank you. Are the drain holes easy to find?
